Live life now

Good Morning

Well life is starting to get back to normal after the summer holidays, my girls went back to school this morning so that means more craft time for me....

Today I am sharing a card I created at the weekend using some of my favourite crafting items.

I created the background using Lindy's Magicals and then stamped the image and sentiment in veramark ink and applied copper embossing powder. The detailed butterfly was embossed onto vellum and fussy cut.

I love the dimension and feel of movement this gives the card.

I will be entering this card into Craft Stampers take it make it competition.

I used the follow products to make this card

Visible Image;

Lindy's Stamp Gang;

Papermania;

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, I'll be back later in the week with more crafty makes.

Inkognito stamps on a magical canvas

I am very excited and couldn't to share these projects with you so here goes

This morning my order from Visible Image stamps summer sale arrive and I had to play right away.

I had a couple of old box canvases from my daughter bedroom that she had outgrown (they had bunnies on and she a bit EMO now, lol) I wanted a quick flat black background and stumbled upon a tin of BBQ spray paint and set about spraying the canvases.

While they dried I mixed some white acrylic paint with Lindys drop dead diva magicals and a little water to thin...... I was aiming for pouring cream consistency. I did this for each of the 6 colours in the set, I used a cocktail stick per colour to mix.

Once the canvases were dry I stamped the image and sentiment in Versafine ink and applied white embossing powder. A quick blast with my heat gun and I was ready for the splatting.

I headed outside to splat as I am so messy and had other projects on my craft desk. I used the cocktail sticks to flick the paint at the canvases, I ofund that tapping it on the end of a finger also helps get a different size splat!

I gave them a little blast with my heat gun to dry the paint and then hung them on the wall. So quick and easy and I think they are very striking.

I used the following products to make the canvases

Thanks for taking the time out to stop by Tx

I hope your day is Happy and Magical

Hey, how are you today? I have a lovely card to share with you....

I created my card using Altenews Halftone hello which I purchased from Seven Hills Crafts, I have both the stamp set and the die.  For the background I used Lindys "Drop Dead Diva" Magicals which can be purchased from Create and Craft TV.

I spritzed a piece of water colour card with water and used the tip of a pallet knife to drop small amounts of the magicals on to the card. When the powder hits the water they flow and the colour goes "pop" - A little goes a long way.

I stamped the "happy" on to some white card using Verafine Onyx black and die cut it, I also die cut 3 more of the happy sentiment without stamping first. I then glued them together to make a laminated chipboard sentiment which adds some depth to the card.

I then added the "hope your day is" straight to the background. All that was left was to pop it all on to a 5x7 card blank using some strong glue.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back soon with another creation Terri x

Fun with some of my favorite things

It's Hump day and today I couldn't decide what I wanted to play with so decided to grab some of my favorite crafty items and go with the flow.

So I used a ;
versfine ink pad
Lindys Samp gang Magicals
Paperbabe Stamps Birthday set
Sheena Douglas Flying Dragonfly stamp set
Sparkle foil tape

Here is my creation, a cute 6x6 greeting card.

The card was a simple projects, I used the Lindys Stamp Gang Magicals to create a background splatter effect background, added some of the sparkle foil tape

I then used the sentiment stamps to add a greeting

I stamped a dragonfly in Versafine ink and painted it with the Magicals

As the Magicals dry they become more vibrant and the shimmer comes alive.

I am going to play some more with the Magicals and see what other things you can do with them and as always I'll share my results here.
