Throwback Thursday.......

It's Thursday and that can only mean 1 thing.........1 more day until the weekend.

Today I am taking a walk down memory lane and looking at some of the cards I made last year, time really does fly and sometimes we forget the things we've accomplished so today I will look  back and admire,I hope you'll join me

This card has to be one that I remember the most as I fell in love with the colours and tranquil vibe it projected.

I adore this card as it's so feminine and dreamy, It was my first easel card and I managed to get it in a magazine.

My first shaped card I believe, cute, chintzy and all round pretty.

This card was made as Clare Curd did a Craft-along on the Craftwork Crads Blog and I joined in.

I loved the colour of the papers in this kit as well as the shaped cards, I couldn't resist a bobin card.

Now this idea just happened, each time I look at it I think if I had only of turned it sideways it looks like a collar and blouse.

Oh yummy biscuits, I couln't wait to get my hands on this kit, the colours are so fresh and scrumptious.

I made this card with the left over pieces from one of my paper kits, they were only small pieces but far to pretty to throw away.

Now I feel energised and have lots of ideas going round in my head, I hope I've given you some ideas with these cards. Feel free to ask questions or leave comments below, take care.

We all need a little Serenity in our lives.

There are time in our lives where we all need a little serenity and yesterday was one of them.

I needed a little me time and wanted to chill out so grabbed my Serenity kit from Craftwork Cards and set about making a couple of cards.

This first card is so clean and calm. I love the colours and feel.

I used some off cuts which I made a back ground with, I then cut a panel of white card and die cut a feather from it, I placed this over the background I made and added another die cut feather from one of the papers in the kit. I added some twine and a die cut sentiment then layered this on to some pattered paper and then onto a card blank.

The second card I made is very similar

I chose to use different paper and added some washi tape this time but kept the overall theme the same.

I only have a little left from this kit but I know I will be using it up really soon.

Thanks for stopping by today, see you soon.

Warren and Little Lola

It's been one of those weeks where I have several projects on the go that all need time to dry, so you leave that one and move on to another, then back to first and so on and so forth, I feel like a headless chicken going back and forth from desk to desk but I do have some pretty cards to share with you as a result.

All of the cards below have been made with the Warren and Little Lola pads from Craftwork Cards, there are two pads, one is a candi pad and the other a topper pad.

I have accented my cards with papers from other Craftwork cards kits, some have twine/ribbon, candi, gems or flowers, I have also used glossy accents and stickles glitter glue in places. On a few of the cards I have added a tuck in embellishment using Tattered lace dies.

I hope you've enjoyed viewing today's post, please take a moment and leave me a comment Tx

Scrumptious Black and Gold

Morning all, at the weekend I had an hour where I sat and experimented with some stamps I brought in the Craftwork Cards Sale. They are called scrumptious and they really are yummy.

The first thing I do when I get new stamps is think about how I am going to use them and what patterns I can make. I knew that these stamps would be ideal for making Mandals and flowers, so I grabbed my sticky notes, stamped out each image and cut them out, see below... They can now be used to mask areas and allow me to created layered images.

I decided I was going to use just black and gold on white card and see what effects I could get.

This card is a flat layer with just a few gold pearls, a simple first card.

This card was a little more involved but so pretty, a few gold sequins add a bit of dimention.

This card is very clean and simple, I just added some gold stickles glitter glue to highlight the image.

Next up is a Mandala I created using all those little sticky note

I am a big fan of stamping and love to use the stamps in as many way as possible, I will be featuring stamping in one of my Craft 101 series posts very soon.

Thanks for popping by Tx

Rustic Romance by Craftwork Crads

Yesterday I recieved my Rustic Romance kit and I am so in love with it.

It's a very feminine kit with washed out roses on a white plank background and soft blue and pinks.

Here are my first 5 cards I made

This tag card uses the paper from kit and a tag die set from Tonic, all I added was a bit of glitter glue and some ribbon.

For this card I die cut a hear from the roses panel paper and stuck it over the blue dotty paper. I added some glitter glue around the aperture and on the candi. The letter tiles are also from the kit, as is the tag.

This card is made using 1.5" circles folded around a 1" square, I accented with pearl drops and glitter glue.

This is a simple card made using 8 squares with a heart cut out of them. I've kept all the hearts to use on another card in the future.

I love this card, 1 sheet of paper, 1 sentiment and 3 candi, so simple yet so effective.

I am sure their will be many more cards to share using this kit.

I hope you like them, more from me tomorrow Tx

Craftwork cards fan page competition

It's a yucky rainy day here in Bristol so what better way to pass the time than a bit of crafting and a quick blog post.

As you know I am a BIG Craftwork Cards fan,I love their products, prices and how friendly the staff are.  Over on Facebook there is a Craftwork Cards Fan Page run by a lovely lady called Natalie. Each month there is a competition with a prize from Craftwork Cards.

This months theme is "No girls allowed" meaning it's all about cards for the men in our life. Here is a peak at my entries;

For this card I used the Man Made kit and created a little pinwheel in a pocket, I used a orange card for matting and Layering to add a little something.

This card was again made with the Man Made kit. I cut some star appertures from white card and laid it over a tartan print. I added tiny navy blue dots along the top and bottom edges of the overlay to look like stitches.

This last card is made with the Suits You Sir collection and the newly released Colour me stamps.

If you've got any Craftwork cards goodies why not like the Facebook page and enter the competition.

I'll be back soon Tx

Fabulous Fashionista pleated card - Tutorial 16

Today I have a lovely tent fold card to share with you, made using the Fabulous Fashionista kit.

To make my card I used an 8x8" card blank which I cut down to measure 12x18cm, don't throw away the off cuts as they can be used for so many more things.

I then cut a piece of the pink foiled paper to 11x9cm

I cut a piece of the lace graph paper to 11x8cm

and a piece of black card measuring 11.3x17.3cm

I glued them patterned papers to the black card using double sided tape

I then cut a piece of black card measuring 8x29cm and cut it at a diagonal angle going from 8cm to 4.5cm. I then scored it and folded it

I added red liner tape in the folds and stuck them down

I attached the pleated black card to the panel created above

next I tied some black and white bakers twine around the card

I added the panel to the tent fold card, placed 3 black gems in the bottom corner and stuck a sentiment on with foam pads.

I hope you like it
