BOOM "It's your birthday"

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Superheros stamp set from For the love of stamp by Hunkydory.

I decided to make a black and white retro looking birthday card to add to my stash, I find it can be hard to create cards for men and teenagers but with these stamps it's so much fun.

I added two layers of silhouette buildings, one on foam pads to add dimension, the building were heat embossed using WOW embossing powder to add a strong glossy finish.

I stamped and heat embossed the male and female superheros in the centre of the card to give the impression that they have come together to celebrate the birthday.

Now a superhero card wouldn't be complete without a BOOM! and BAM! stamped somewhere. I added the stamped panel on to a black card centring it and leaving a small black border at the vertical edges.

I hope you like the card as much as I do.

Who doesn't love a cactus card or two?

Well it's Monday and in my opinion the weekend went way to fast!

There nothing I like more than a stroll around a garden centre or two at the weekend with my family and of course a cup of tea and cake as a little treat....

Well that reminded me that I hadn't share 2 of my cards featuring Cactus and succulents.

We have an ever growing collection of cactus and succulents in our house and love hunting out new varieties, when I saw these stamps from Hunkydory's for the love of stamps range I had to get them.

This fist card uses the plant images to create a backing paper, I used some bendable coloured pencils to bring the stamped images to life. I added my sentiment onto a couple of black squares of card which I layered up to add dimension and interest.

For this card I used the same images but this time I added them to a sandy desert floor rather than using the plant pots.  I love the Puny sentiments that accompany the images.

Thats all from me for now, I'm off to plant up some pot for my front garden.

Dino Day

Today I am sharing some Dinosaur themed cards.

My daughter and her friend are a little Dino crazy and after a week of mock exams I treated her to a set of Dino Friend stamps from Hunkydorys For the love of stamps.

After a couple of hours stamping, colouring and cutting here's what I made.

I love a clean and simple card and this is just that. 2 dinos stamped, coloured, cut and mounted on a card.

This one is a little bit of fun, I can't tell if her looks like he's running after someone or way from something.

Now I saved my favourite till last, I stamped and water coloured the background and then stamped, water coloured and fussy cut the dinosaur. It's so simple and clean and it's going nowhere, I'm keeping it as I love it so much.

Sorry to hear you're under the weather

Today I am sharing a cute shaker card created with the "Brighten your day" stamp set from "For the Love of stamps"

I created a circle shaker card filled with sequins. Using the cloud stamps I stamped them out onto white card, coloured them using Colorista Alcohol pens and fussy cut them.  They were mounted on foam tape across the top of the circle.  I then stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut the umbrella.

I thought it would be fun to have the umbrella hovering over the sentiment in the bottom corner.

As luck would have it I am actually under the weather at the moment but making this card has cheered me up.

I'll be back later in the week with more crafty makes.

Sorry to hear you're under the weather

Morning guys

Today I am sharing a card I made with the stamps from the recent "For the love of stamps" release from Hunkydory.

One of the items in the release was a magazine with a stamp set. I loved the stamps and wanted to make something a little bit different so decided on a card for a poorly friend.

I started by stamping the sentiment in the lower right side in black ink and the stamped some clouds.

I coloured the clouds grey with a Promarker pen.  I then stamped some rain drops and a puddle in blue ink and added Glossy accents on top to give dimension.

I love how the glossy accents give a wet look to the rain drops and the feel of the raised sections also give a tactile element to the card.

I mated the main image on to a shimmery blue card stock and then onto a 5x7 card blank.

I have a few more ideas for the stamp set and will share them with you in the near future.

Have a super Bank holiday weekend
