November Paperbabes Stamps release

Good Morning lovely Crafters,

Today is my first posting as a member of the Paperbabes design team. , I'm excited to be sharing with you the first stamp set from the Paperbabe Stamps November release along with the rest of the design team.

Today's introduction is the Mini face stamp set and hair templates which will be available to purchase Friday 20th November from Paperbabe stamp shop.  You can find more information about the release at Paperbabe stamps blog

Here are a few pictures of the projects I have made using the stamps and templates.

This card was made with a very simple black and white look.  The face stamp, hair template and sentiment stamp are all from Paperbabe stamps.

This next project is a watercolor painting with stamped facial features.

Lastly "Vacant Soul" a pastel drawing on canvas paper using the face and hair templates, initially I was going to add a face but I love her just as she is, what do you think?

The joy of the these stamps is that they can be used alone but they also work along with several templates which allow you to create several styles of face and hair.  Kim has done a fabulous job with the designs of the stamps allowing you to be able to put together face and hair combinations that can be customized in numerous ways.

That's all from me for today, I will be back tomorrow with day 2 of Novembers release.

Just Gorjuss - Spotlight post

Evening all

Well it's been a very cold day here in Bristol and I'm feeling a little blah at the moment so I decided to have a look back through some of my previous crafty makes.  I thought I would focus on the Gorjuss range form Santoro.

I have a huge amount of Gorjuss stamps, this is just some of them;

Over the last year I have enjoyed collecting them, stamping them and using Promarkers to colour them in. Here are a few of my favorite ones I done so far;

I have also made some cards using papercraft products stocked by docrafts

Gorjuss is just one of my favorite craft brands, over the next few days I will be uploading brand focused post for companies including Craftwork cards, Folk it and Papermania, I hope that you will pop back and see what I have to share.

Tx

Santoro-London Opens it's first store

Santoro London- Bath store opening.

For a long time I have been a Santoro-london fan, I especially love the Gorjuss range, in fact I should say I am a tad addicted to it. I have just over 50 rubber stamps in my craft collection that depicted the wonderful images of the Gorjuss girls.

Well last Thursday I saw online that Santoro were opening a store in Bath, living only 13 miles away in Bristol I decided that I had to go and see what goodies they had..............the thought of the first 200 customers receiving a gift bag may have had something to do with too.

So I set off after dropping my children to school, the opening wasn't until 11:30 so I had time for a relaxed breakfast in Cafe Rouge before getting in line and waiting for the grand opening.

While waiting I took some picture of the window displays;

As the grand opening took place, outside the shop there was a long line of customers waiting to step inside, Gold foiled balloons spelling out the company name and several photographers snapping away, Meera Santoro cut the ribbon and announced the store open.

I was the third person inside and was immediately submerged into a world of magical, dreamy products. It was hard to pay attention to any one item, I was literally like a child in a sweet shop.

I had made a card to take with me using the Gorjuss range of products stocked by docrafts

Once I was able to stop gawping at the shelves I headed over to the counter and found Meera, i had a brief chat with her about Santoro and my love of Gorjuss and then presented her with the card. She called her husband Lucio over and they thanked me for the kind gesture and we posed for photos.

I then made my way to the rear of the shop to have a cheeky glass of prosecco and some chocolate,

I was then handed a gift bag from Lucio and thanked for the card; heres what was in the bag

There was an awesome shopping bag that folds away into a zipped pouch with a beautiful image on the front

I also received a lovely gift form my husband. A new mug with my favorite gorjuss image of all time.

I had a truly love time and will be visiting the store again in the near future.

Until next time Tx

Trick or treat?

Trick or Treat?

So today I've been busy with my girls making some Halloween cards for their friends and family. As you may have worked out by now I eat, sleep and breath craft but for my youngest daugter there are just a few time of the year that she like to craft, one of which is Halloween.

Our first card is a cute little card made with the Pumkin and Aubergine stamps from the Daisy and Dandelion range from docrafts.  The bats in the background are done with clear embossing powder.

This next 2 cards were made with some coredinations card stock and the stamps mentioned above.

This was a quick little card I made with some recycled paper, stamps and coloured ink pads

This is one of my favorite cards, I love the way the little cat is taking a nap under the moon before a big night of trick or treating.

However you plan on spending Halloween, be it hiding from the trick or treaters or all dressed up and scary, I hope you have a fab time Tx

Bee Happy.....Tutorial number 8

Bee happy....

As you know by now Craftworks cards are my all time favorite paper craft company, when the potting shed II kit was released I couln't wait to get crafting with it.  Once I saw the Bee topper I had to use it, I love the muted tones and earthy feel, so here's a tutorial of how I made this lovely card.

Equipment;

Bee topper - CWC
Brown card stock - CWC
6x6 Card blank - CWC
Bee paper - CWC
Candi - CWC
Sentiment - CWC
plant labels - CWC
Hi Tack Glue - doCrafts
Clear Glossy Finish - Anitas
Promarker - Letraset
Candi fix - CWC
scissors - xcut
scalpel - Swann Morton
glitter pen - Sakura
cutting mat - The Works
Twine - Garden center/craft store

I start by placing a 5x5" mat of brown paper on to my 6x6 card using the Hi Tack glue making sure that it sits square as all other pieces will be place using this as a marker.

Next I cut a square of bee paper to 5.7/8" x 5.7/8" and "gut" the center, this means removing an amount of paper that wont be seen, I hate to waste paper and I know I will be using this on another project. This is attached using the glue.

I then glue a piece of brown paper over the bee paper so I have a nice border

Now for the topper, I wrap twine around the topper and tie a knot at the front, the topper is scalloped so it sits tightly in the notches but if you were doing this with a straight edged topper I would secure it with tape at the back.

Next I glue the topper to the card and add some glitter to the heater using the Sakura pen

Next I added 2 plant labels and a sentiment using the Candi fix pads

Now for the Candi, I placed a yellow candi in the corners of the center of the image using the candi fix and glazing them using the glossy finish

I then added white candi to the outer corners and colored them using a promarker, colour is called "shale" I also glazed them as well.

And here is the finished card. It's hard to show the glossy accents and glitter but hopefully the picture below will give you a better look....

Thats all for now, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and look forward to sharing another project with you soon Tx
